JUL I NORD

Dynamic interaction and a vivid, playful presence are what distinguish Duo Fjerdingøy & Andersson. Now launching their long-awaited debut album, the Norwegian/Swedish duo approach the music from their home countries with both curiosity and respect, creating moments of verve, beauty and joy. Since both Hilde Fjerdingøy and Hanna Andersson are experienced dance musicians the groove is always present, inviting listeners to move to the music. It is hardcore traditional music, the hottest music in Sweden and Norway 100 years ago. But don’t let the age of the tunes fool you: this is definitely music for the twenty-first century.

HILDUR DANSEKOMPANI

A group of musicians and dancers who create artistic productions based on folk dance and music traditions from central Norway. The performers share a common interest in the interdependent relationship between dance and music – and in exploring space and inclusion. With a playful and open approach to tradition, the company creates moments of surprise, melancholy, and clarity in their various productions, which are aimed at school students, the elderly, and the general public.
